 The Thompson was brought to fame in the 1920’s by Chicago gangsters, at that time the Thompson was equipped with a front grip, drum magazine and modified barrel. It went on to become a true classic in World War II and has been featured in such movies as Saving Private Ryan. The Tokyo Marui M1A1 Thompson is comprised mostly of metal with imitation wood stocks that look quite real. A very heavy piece with a metal barrel, working charging handle, magazine, and metal upper receiver, the M1A1 is a true collectors piece. Non-threaded barrel means you cannot attach a silencer.
